Resins and films are the world of the Thermoplastic Polyurethanes Business Unit (BU TPU) and its two subsidiary companies, Epurex Films and Deerfield Urethane. It has manufacturing facilities at six different sites and, with 400 employees, is the global market leader. Last year, it posted sales of 200 million euros, which meant that BU TPU contributed three percent to Bayer MaterialScience's total sales. Globally aligned with its Desmopan® and Texin® brands, BU TPU attaches major importance to complying with the needs of its regional customers. The biggest buyers of its products are medium-sized companies, and they differ considerably from one country to another. The fields of application for thermoplastic polyurethanes are equally varied. BU TPU is constantly developing new products for its customers to satisfy the ever increasing demands made on them. Both partners work hand in hand to find optimum solutions.
